Great Yarmouth Christmas lights switch on

I picked my camera up this evening on my way to watch the Christmas lights switch on here in Great Yarmouth.

I've been here three and a half years and hadn't been to a Christmas light switch on before, so I set off with my son Matt this eve to have a look at what was going on.  I must admit the camera came out only after we had something to eat, as we were both hungry and a little bit tired, but when we hit the Market place just after the switch on, we found some interesting stuff to look at, and some interesting people to photograph. 

We missed Father Christmas and Mr Snowman, but we came across the Mayor, a Viking couple, met Mr Glow man, watched the fireworks and had an interesting wander round whilst a band called Scratch the Cat played and made the little ones dance.

Justine's model portfolio

Time goes by too quickly, and I'm not blogging as often as I'd like to... I have several sets of images I'd like to share with you but everything else seems to take precedence.

I've been working with Justine for the last couple of months; she is just starting out as a model and we have been working together on images for her portfolio.

She is terrifically easy to work with, and has a good work ethic.  She has never left me waiting, or cancelled at the last moment like others do, follows my directing, and understands what I want to achieve from the shoot.

I do look forward to working more with her, and have a few more shoots in the pipeline... the weather at the moment is perfect for some moody work I've got in mind :)

Sneak preview: Liza & Joe's Rock and Roll Wedding

Finally I get the chance to upload a few photos as a sneak preview of Liza Wolfe and Joe Hood's Wedding at Caldecott Hall, in Fritton last weekend...

and what a wedding it was... a rock and roll affair for Liza has her own band, which Joe helps to manage. The attention to detail was exquisite and the whole event was fantastically organised, down to the supporting band for the music, the burlesque act that followed, and a magician entertaining guests as an after wedding breakfast treat.

Was that all, err no....

the wedding was filmed by Virgin Media crew for the series 'Four Weddings' and we worked with the filming team as the day unfolded... you should see our faces when Liza and Joe just 'happened' to mention that there would be a filming crew around....

Did we mind? Of course we didn't , but the jitters that followed in those weeks leading to the wedding, as Davis & Co calculated each and everything that could go wrong, were a teeny bit nerve wracking. :)
